The research dealt with the definition of language, its origin and development, Arabic writing and its development through various stages, Arabic calligraphy during the era of Islam, types of lines throughout its Arab-Islamic history, and the arrangement of Arabic letters. It is also exposed to the sounds in the Arabic language, the definition of phonology, the sounds of Arabic letters, and the number of Arabic sounds exits. The research used the descriptive analytical method based on collecting and analyzing information and coming out of all of this with results that the phonetic studies in the Arab world are still described as having not lived up to the required level, and that the Arabic language has fixed sounds because its vocal range is wide, and it includes all human sounds and their exits.
