This research highlights the treatment of an issue that researchers often object to, which is the presence of some narrators in the chains of narration neglected, such as mentioning his first name, nickname, or otherwise, with the presence of others who share his name and class, and then the researcher cannot easily know what is meant.
In this research, I traced the extraction of the rules and reasons that help distinguish the neglected narrator, and identify him, and who is intended by him if he appears in this or that attribution. I presented this with a brief introduction, in which I mentioned the reasons for choosing the topic, and the most important of these are reasons that the need calls for researching this topic, as the vague is used in hadith books even in the books of the Two Sheikhs, for that we need to know this research, then I mentioned the definition of neglected, vague, and the difference between them. Then I mentioned what I reached of these reasons, using a number of terminology books, hadith explanations, men’s books, and others. They numbered about ten total means and controls, and several sub-methods fall under some of them.
The summary of what I mentioned is that the negligent can be distinguished by several means, one of which is: that the neglected person is known through the narrator on his behalf. For example, if he is well-known for narrating from him, or is unique to him, or does not narrate from anyone else, and so on. One of them is that the negligent is known through his sheikh, and there are several means that fall under it. The negligent is also known by graduation, its class, its country, or other methods mentioned in detail with their evidence and examples in the folds of the research.
