The research discusses an issue that is one of the most important historical and contemporary issues together, which is the issue of holy religious wars in Christianity, as religious wars are among the most historical events that have raised controversy in their legitimacy, and their compatibility with “Christian” religious thought in particular, especially that wars were part of the thought religion through the ages. The Christian churches have worked in general to subjugate religion and religious texts in favor of achieving political, economic and expansionist goals and ambitions, and this was not limited to wars between Christianity and other religions, but also included wars in Christianity itself throughout historical ages. Thus, wars, whether religious or non-religious, were considered sacred as fulfilling various ambitions that are legislated in the name of religion, which is one of the reasons for the distortion of most religious texts of Christianity on the one hand, and the distortion of understanding and interpretation of religious texts according to the wishes of rulers and clergymen. Therefore, the research attempts to focus on the issue of holy wars in Christianity, in the context of its historical and ideological development, and its effects on Christianity itself on the one hand, and its relationship with others on the other.
