إدارة تكنولوجيا المعلومات من أجل جودة التعليم ورضا الموظفين – دراسة أجريت في المعاهد الفنية الرسمية اللبنانية في الشمال –
This study investigates the role of information technology management in achieving quality distance education in Lebanese technical institutes, with a focus on the mediating effect of teacher satisfaction on this relationship. A multi-method approach combining qualitative and quantitative methods was adopted, including interviews, surveys, and statistical analyses.
The descriptive results showed that the study sample consisted of experienced female teachers with university degrees who taught theoretical and applied courses online in the northern and Akkar regions of Lebanon. Hypothesis testing using Pearsons’s correlation coefficient revealed positive and statistically significant relationships between IT management and distance education quality, between IT management and teacher satisfaction, and between teacher satisfaction and distance education quality.
When testing the mediating variable hypothesis using structural equation modeling and path analysis, the findings concluded that teacher satisfaction fully mediates the relationship between IT management and distance education quality. The direct effect was insignificant, while the indirect effect through the mediating variable was highly statistically significant.
This study contributes important theoretical and practical implications to the fields of distance education and IT management. It provides recommendations for practitioners and researchers to enhance the quality of distance education through effective IT management and attention to teacher satisfaction. The study highlights the crucial role teachers’ play in achieving high-quality distance learning experiences.
