School Theater as an educational stimulating medium and its role in overcoming difficulties and developing the learner’s skills

The school theater, as an educational medium, has the potential to bring about a transformation in the learner’s reality by breaking away from traditional, didactic methods. This is achieved through an understanding of the nature of theater, its significance in our educational landscape today, and how it can contribute to the development of learners’ abilities. It is not merely an entertaining tool; rather, it is a significant technique to enhance the learning and educational process, benefiting the student within the school environment as a whole through active participation.

In this context, we have endeavoured to achieve specific goals, such as understanding the presence of educational theatre, identifying its types, highlighting its importance, especially in relation to schools, and examining what it aims to achieve within the school setting. The goal is to establish theatrical techniques, primarily adopted by teachers as a means to ensure learners’ mastery of knowledge, including kinetic techniques used in teaching. This article employs a descriptive – analytical approach to address a range of issues, including the extent of the presence of educational theatre, its role in revitalizing school life, and the obstacles that may hinder the implementation of educational theatre. It also explores the life skills that learners acquire through this approach to serve their learning experiences.
