School management patterns prevailing in Arab secondary schools in Abeche

A Field Study

أنماط الإدارة المدرسية السائدة في المدارس الثانوية العربية بمدينة أبشة

ـ دراسة ميدانية ـ

The study aimed to know the patterns of be prevalent school management in Arabic Secondary Schools in Abeche. From the views of the female and male teachers, the researcher followed the descriptive approach and depended on the questionnaire as a major tool for the study, and the sample of the study acted from 40 female and male teachers and the study showed the following result:

1- Most of the teachers in Arabic Secondary Schools in Abeche town are males and they are university degree holders.

2- The patterns of be prevalent school management in Arabic Secondary Schools in Abeche town are dominative, democratic and correspondence patterns.

3- Regarding the dominative pattern emphasizes the study sample answers that the directors of the Arabic Secondary Schools in Abeche town are controlling in management matters and making decisions by themselves.

4- In democratic pattern, the study sample emphasizes that there is a cooperation between managers and teachers and even mandate of some prerogatives to teachers, interest and these are the requirements of successful administrative work in the school.

5- Regarding the correspondence pattern, there is a disparity in sample’s answer around the hesitation of the managers in making decisive decisions between little degree in percentage of 82.5 % and intermediate degree the percentage of 57.5%.

Therefore, the findings, which the researcher reached, recommends to the national ministry of education and promoting the citizenship by the following.

1- Raising the efficiency of vacation for managers in methods and manners on the modernized school management.

2- The concern in designating the female teachers for teaching in Arabic Secondary Schools in Abeche town and encouraging their role in the community development.
