This research attempts from the one hand to draw attention to the importance of environmental refuge that has begun to expand dramatically in the recent years as a result of the climate change as well as the natural disasters. On the other hand, it aims answering the Security threats on the international level that affect human survival and the preservation of its existence. Thus, the phenomenon has shifted from socio-natural phenomenon to a multidimensional security phenomenon. On the third hand, this research seeks to make the international legal system expands the protection of refugees to include the environmental refugee as well, as the phenomenon increases and the suffering of the host states is progressively and continuously afflicted due to the climate change that affects directly the human livelihoods.
