This article titled:” Mistranslation of Arabic Islamic religion texts, a case study of oral translation of some Arabic Islamic religion texts into Hausa language”
The article is aiming to elaborate some mistranslation made by some unqualified translators of Arabic texts to Hausa, the researchers high light the factors that affect mistranslation from Arabic to Hausa, and analyzed its bad effect.
This article used analytical methods in analyzing its contents that was categorized into six topics, the first topic is about the meaning of writing and verbal translation, the second topic is about history of Hausa nation and its relationship with Islam and Arabic language, while the third topic is about importance of verbal translation in translating from Arabic to Hausa, the fourth topic is about samples of mistranslation from Arabic to Hausa, the fifth topic is about Factors that affect mistranslation from Arabic to Hausa, while the sixth topic contain Bad effect of mistranslation.
One of the outcomes of this research is the recommendation of researchers that says: He who is not a fully acquainted with the knowledge of Arabic Grammar, Morphology, and Rhetoric can never be a good translator of Islamic texts to any language.
