Dialogue should be purposeful and constructive, carrying a lot of wisdom and etiquette, and the interlocutor must be sincere in intention, so that he wants to benefit the other . As for the word debate, it does not originally appear in the Holy Qur’an, but its meanings are present in it, such as this verse I mentioned. As for the relationship of dialogue with discussion, it is that the discussion is also a type of dialogue, and it is between two people or two parties, but it is based on the investigation of the account and the exposure of errors and counting them, and this investigation is usually for the benefit of one of the parties, and it is defined as: Review speech with the intention of reaching the truth often, and it is more special than debate.
