Because of these combined factors, the development of the craft of aquaculture and its breeding under controlled conditions led to fish farming giving good economic returns.
Compared to what is caught in the seas and oceans, the latter requires painstaking research and great efforts, including sailing, energy and time, all of which are not required in the fish farming process.
