The research problem emerged from the researcher’s consciousness that French public secondary school students spend a long period of time and learning the Arabic language without mastering any of the Arabic language skills, and also the lack of necessary strategies, pedagogical methods, styles, professional aspects in the teaching process of Arabic language for non-Arabic speaking students.
These two concerns led to the research problem which came in the following question: What is the reality of the performance of Arabic teachers in French government secondary schools in the city of Saar? The study aimed to approach the problem by describing, analyzing, evaluating the situation and suggesting solutions.
After analyzing data related to the performance of Arabic language teachers in French language secondary schools in the city of Saar, it came out that most of these teachers do not have the required professional competencies and skills, as indicated by the answers given by the educational inspectors following the performance of these teachers, and the observations and investigation that we conducted.
A set of recommendations were made in order to boost the performance of Arabic language teachers in French language Schools.
