Spatial interaction between the legitimacy of the SME and the proximity of resources, questions the appropriate intervention mechanisms that are mobilized by the SME during its progress towards the achievement of its strategic objectives.
The proxemic device of the SME is a dedicated conceptual apparatus, allowing to mediate the densification of this setting into spatial interaction, in and by the socio-economic space, being in permanent reconfiguration by the local policies.
The topological relations of the SME, reflected in a pure analogical approach with the topological relations exploited in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), are topological invariants that modulate this interaction with space, and express de facto the terms of the dynamic relationship, and legitimate of the SME to the socio-economic space.
The dynamics of concentricity / eccentricity is governed by proximity as a symbolic value of a horizontal territorialization, legitimized by links of interest, which are reducers or amplifiers of inter-actor distances. This double centripetal/centrifugal movement accounts for the direction of diffusion of the SME’s entrepreneurial action in relation to its own spatial position, either as a center of convergence, or as a center of divergence, and establishes the SME as a dense core of capture and attraction of resources and opportunities. Keywords: Legitimacy, sme, proximity, resources, concentricity, eccentricity.
