The Role of School Administration in Promoting Citizenship Values among Learners -Official High Schools in Tripoli City as a Model-

دور الإدارة المدرسية في تعزيز قيم المواطنة لدى المتعلمين -الثانويات الرسمية في مدينة طرابلس أنموذجًا-

The study aimed to investigate the role of School Administration in promoting Citizenship values among learners in Public Secondary Schools in the City of Tripoli. The researcher relied on the descriptive and analytical approach, and the material research community consisted of public secondary schools in Tripoli, while the human community consisted of the directors of these institutions, numbering 13 directors. The human sample consisted of 10 directors out of 13 and thus constituted 76.9% of the study population.

The questionnaire was measured by the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, which showed the value of the iron reliability coefficient for the questionnaire to be 0.957, This indicates that the questionnaire has a high degree of reliability. The researcher used a five-point Likert Scale to answer each paragraph of the questionnaire and to analyze the data collected. Many statistical methods were relied upon, most notably the statistical package SPSS, and the results of the study were as follows:

1- The principals of Tripoli’s Public High Schools promote the values of citizenship among learners to a high degree.

2- There are no statistically significant differences in the role of Public Secondary School Principals in promoting citizenship values among learners due to the variable years of experience.
