This paper deals with the context, and its impact on clarifying the connotations in the Quranic discourse, applying to the stories mentioned in Surat Al-Baqara, from the interpretation of Ibn Ashour. It aims to define the context and its types, and to show the interest of scholars and researchers in all legal and linguistic disciplines, both ancient and modern, to reveal its role in clarifying the significance in the Qur’anic discourse, and to clarify its relationship to the state of the hearer, the circumstances of the situation in the reasons for revelation, the relationship of the verses with precedents and suffixes, and the overall connection in the larger context. for the Holy Quran. In light of the descriptive approach based on induction, description, analysis and application. It includes a theoretical aspect that rootes the issue of context for linguists, ancient and modern, and for Sharia scholars of different specializations. In the Holy Qur’an, Surat Al-Baqarah, its purpose and the reason for its name, the stories mentioned in Surat Al-Baqarah, and the impact of the context on explaining its implications. And an applied aspect whose limits are the stories contained in Surat Al-Baqara through the interpretation of Ibn Ashour.
