Imam Asim b. Ebî’n-Necûd is a profit from the Qurrâ-i seba who studied the Qur’an and memorized it. He was born in Kufe and is from the third layer. The lineage of people from whom he received knowledge was Ibn Masud, Ali b. Like Ebî Talib, its owner reaches his elders and the Messenger of Allah. The Imam endeavored to acquire knowledge in the fields of recitation, hadith, fiqh, syntax and dictionary throughout his life, until he went blind towards the end of his life. He reached the rank of sheikh of the karis in Kufa. His qiraah is considered the most famous qiraah in the world. Many scholars took this recitation from him and narrated it. Imam Amesh is one of them. His stepson Hafs is the most famous narrator, followed by Branch, two of whom are the most famous narrators from him. Although he has many narrators, Imam Asim’s competence has emerged in many areas. He is one of the kurra-i seba in the field of recitation, he is a scholar of hadith. Malicious people spoke out against him and accused him of lying in hadiths, but the testimony of Ahl as-Sunnah Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal about him and Imam Bukhari narrating from him revealed that these were biased accusations. Imam Asim continued to memorize the Qur’an until his death and did not forget it until his death.
