تاريخ العوام بتطوان: بين إشكالية المصادر ورهان التجديد في الكتابة التاريخية
There is no doubt that history writing nowadays involves various concepts and techniques. In the past, the researcher was able to tackle research prospects on different problems that were not given enough space and interest for historical analysis and discussion due to several and interrelated reasons. The investigator of the history of Tetuan reveals the dominance of the historical topics that deal with military or political events, while its history neglected marginalized and common people. Hence, this results in a history that is far from neutrality and often concentrates on the elite’s achievements and accomplishments in various fields and eras.
Thus, there is a pressing need for the search for paths of renovation using development gains that have been achieved by contemporary schools of history and their visions and perceptions in analyzing, synthesizing and producing creative curricula (syllabus) that intersect with several sciences and knowledge. In addition, re-defining the historical documents that went beyond the traditional concepts is necessary. Accordingly, this article attempts to highlight some documents and sources that enable us to present issues and events related to the history of the lower classes or those minor social groups who were only casually concerned by few researchers.
