النبوغ الفني في أدب الرسائل الأندلسية: رسالة طوق الحمامة نموذجا

In this article, we mention some of the literary and rhetorical characteristics that characterized the art of writing letters among the Andalusians. We chose the letter “The Dove’s Ring” by Ibn Hazm Al-Andalusi, as one of the finest Arabic works that dealt with the talk about love as a human emotion. This work is a model of literary brilliance in the art of letters in Andalusia, where its owner was able to convey the details that were rippling the cultural and social life in Andalusia, dividing his book into thirty chapters, through which he was able to study the subject of love as a scientific study, based on experience and reality. For this reason, this letter was considered a pearl in the literary and intellectual history of Andalusia, and it became a global masterpiece transmitted by scribes’ pens, in the east and west of the earth.
