Aspects of Feminism in Modern Arabic Novels “Ghadah Rasheed” by Ali Jarim and “Shari 24 Simalan” by Ibtisam Al-Tarrisy as a model

This research aims to make a comparison between what women wrote about women and what men wrote about women, after the women’s literature written by women about women’s lives in recent years has become more present on the artistic scene, and literature is no longer limited to men. who wrote and writes about her life; There were many critics’ opinions on women’s literature, between the frustrating slander and the laudatory beautiful. On a certain aspect of it, which traces the features of feminism through the two novels, namely (Shari 24 Simalan) by Al-Tarrisy and (Ghadat Rasheed) by Ali Al-Jarim; the first; It covers events that begin in the past and continue until the time the novel was written in 2017, while the second novel (Ghadat Rasheed) deals with the experience of an Egyptian girl who lived in the city of Rashid during Napoleon’s campaign against Egypt in 1798, and this girl had a dream of her own; It is evident in reaching power in Egypt after the oracle predicted that to her.

The two novels have a common public space, which is war, and a private space, which is summed up in one word, which is woman. The second novel tells the story of a specific woman, Zubaydah, the beautiful woman whose ambition and dreams are constrained in the city of Rashid, so she wanders away, and the events revolve around her until she returns to her hometown and dies there after her adventure of marrying a French general.

The two novels are dominated by feminism in many aspects by focusing on the private worlds of women, in addition to their interest in the social reality of women in cities that have been degraded by occupation after occupation. Through this research, we will try to shed light on some of the feminist features that appeared in the two novels.

The importance of this research stems from the fact that this comparison has not been made between these two novelists before, as it is the first of its kind in this section.
