Take up this research “Thanking people for the favor and its role in society -an objective study in Sunnah of the prophet”, and the importance of this research comes in highlighting the concept of gratitude, its importance and virtue, its types, rules and fruits, and the role of the prophetic Sunnah in giving thanks, reward and praise, In addition to the inductive approach, by tracking hadiths and extracting them from their sources, and clarifying the sayings of hadith scholars in that, and the researcher reached results, the most prominent of which are: that what is meant by thanks to the people of the language is the recognition of charity, its spread and reward for it, and its reality is satisfaction with ease, and terminology it is an expression of A favor corresponds to a blessing, whether it is with the tongue, the hand, or the heart, and that thanking people for the favor has positive role in society, and it is a religious and customary matter that has been mutual between humans since ancient times, and that one of the motives for the continuation of doing good in society is to mention to the one who is doing the good his favor and to be thankful for it, the research came out with a number of recommendation, including: paying attention to gratitude to prevail among all people, educating and training children in it since childhood in homes and schools, raising awareness of its importance through various media, and for Islamic countries to adopt and nurture this issue in order to preserve this civilized behavior in society, the researcher also recommends to the ministry of higher Education an in- depth academic study for students and researchers on thanking people for favor and its role in society.
