Modern Stylistic Methods and Their Reflections in Arab Culture
الدَّرسُ الأسلوبيّ الحديث ومظاهره في التّراث العربي
This research is an attempt to find Arab precedents for what we now call stylistics. We seek to explore the contributions of our Arab predecessors in this field. Although they may not have explicitly mentioned stylistics، they engaged in practices similar to those of modern stylists. Therefore، we decided to dedicate the first half of the research to modern stylistics، in order to understand its purposes and levels، and through that، we examine similar aspects in our ancient Arab heritage.
We adopted a descriptive approach to understand the nature of stylistics, as well as a historical approach to trace its roots in our ancient heritage.
This research consists of two sections. In the first section، we discuss the stylistic lesson and its relationship with linguistic and critical studies. In the second section، we examine the manifestations of the stylistic lesson in ancient Arab heritage. Ultimately، we arrive at a set of findings and recommendations.
